THERE WILL BE A GRAVESIDE SERVICE FOR DONNA ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2021, AT THE WOODBINE CEMETERY AT 1:00 P.M.

Donna Marie Reynolds was born on February 1, 1921, to Harry H. and Banie Marie Boustead, in Lincoln Township, east of Woodbine, Iowa. Donna was the third of eight children. She graduated from Woodbine high school in 1938 and began teaching in rural schools, which she did for two years. Donna was united in marriage to James D. Reynolds (Jim) on October 6, 1940, in Cameron, Missouri. To this union four children were born, Judy, Ken, Craig, and Eric. After Jim returned from naval service in 1946 they made their home in Woodbine, Iowa. Jim was a carpenter and Donna and Jim operated the Woodbine Hotel from 1952 to 1960.

Donna was a hard worker and a great mom. After Jim’s death in 1962, she worked at several businesses in the area, including Eby’s Drugstore, and the First National Bank in Woodbine.

Donna was a member of the United Methodist Church in Woodbine. Donna enjoyed spending time with her brothers and sisters and their families, as well as her kids and their families.

Donna entered Rose Vista nursing home on December 27, 2007. She died on October 11, 2020, at the age of 99 years, 8 months and 10 days.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; son, Craig; five brothers, Jack, Bob, Max, Lyle and Jim; and sister Betty. She is survived by her daughter, Judy and husband Harold Sexton of Columbus, Mississippi, son Eric Reynolds of Omaha, Nebraska, son Ken Reynolds and wife Ann of Peoria, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Carol Reynolds of West Jordan, Utah; sister, Mary Poe of Woodbine, Iowa; sister-in-law, Joan Boustead of Boone, Iowa; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
