Gary Clark

May 6, 1940 — October 20, 2021

Logan

Gary Daniel Clark was born on May 6, 1940, to Daniel and Maxine (Reynolds) Clark in Cameron, Missouri. When he was young his family moved to the Logan, Iowa area where he attended country school and then Logan High School, graduating in 1958. Gary went on to Commercial Extension Business School in Omaha, Nebraska and worked for a bank in Omaha. Gary married his high school sweetheart, Karen Gallup, on December 8, 1963, at the Methodist Church in Logan. Gary joined the United States Army and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1965. They came home to live on the family farm. Gary and Karen owned the clothing store in Woodbine and he continued to work in the banking business in Omaha, Wymore, Nebraska and then in Logan. Gary also worked for the post office. He always strived to work for the public.

Gary loved to play music. He was very talented and played piano by ear. He and Karen also loved to dance. He spent many months each summer at their condo on Otter Tail Lake in Minnesota where he enjoyed watching the wildlife and fishing. Most of all, Gary loved holidays with his family, especially Christmas. He always made sure that anyone, family or friends, had someone to spend the holiday with, and that they knew they were welcome at his home.

Gary died on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, in Omaha at the age of 81 years, five months and 14 days.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and parents-in-law.
