Harry Clifford Otte was born July 25, 1931, to Hans and Rose (Weir) Otte in Chicago, Illinois. The family relocated to Omaha when Harry was a teenager, and he graduated from Omaha South High School. After graduation, he went to work at Swift Packing Plant in  Glenwood, Iowa spending the next 33 years there. Harry met Margaret through a mutual friend, and it was love at first sight. The two  married and his love for her grew to include her four children, Ron, Roger, Ray and Liesha and then a daughter was born to this couple, Tammy. Harry, Margaret and Tammy relocated to Garland,Texas where Harry worked for the Garland Independent School District for 10 years. After retirement the couple moved to Woodbine.

Harry enjoyed traveling, enjoying life, loved his cars and Nebraska football. He was very social, a hard worker, and a strong and great role model for his children, step children, and grandchildren.

Harry died Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at CHI Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 89 years, three months and 30 days.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rosalie Brown. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Tammy Rosa; four step children, Ron Sexton, Roger Sexton, Ray Sexton and Liesha Sexton; several grandchildren; two brothers, Don Otte and his wife Geraldine and Jim Otte and his wife JoMarie; and many other relatives and friends.
