Janadene Freihage

Janadene M. (Lambirth) Freihage was born on February 1, 1948, in Storm Lake, Iowa, to Art and Mary (Rutter) Lambirth. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. On September 15, 1984, Jan married Wayne Freihage in Stevensville, Louisiana. Jan worked for over 20 years as a security officer, retiring in 2007.

Jan enjoyed many arts and crafts, her flower garden and quilting. She loved spending time chatting with her friends Karen Mohn, Barb Malone and Mert Hubbard. Above everything else, Jan was a very loving mother and grandmother.

Jan died on December 23, 2019, at her home in Dunlap, at the age of 71 years, ten months and 22 days.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Freihage, on January 29, 2011; and grandson, Keegan Michael Gunia. She is survived by her children, Joseph Nuzum of Houston, Texas, Jeffery Nuzum of Shell Knob, Missouri, Jennifer (Mike) Gunia  and Brett Nuzum of Dunlap; grandchildren, Madeline and Lillian Gunia; siblings, Dennis Lambirth of Omaha, Nebraska, Randy Lambirth of Rock Island, Illinois, and Peggy Lambirth of Council Bluffs, Iowa; cousin, Jody Skipworth of Fairhope, Alabama;  and many other relatives and friends.

There will be no services.
