Louis Valles was born on September 9, 1963, in Los Angeles, California to parents Remigio “Sonny” and Mary Helen Valles. Louie grew up in the Los Angeles area and graduated from Baldwin Park High School in 1981. He then went to work for the Suburban Water Systems for twenty years. Louie married Jerene Pooler on August 10, 1985, in LaMirda, California. In 2008 Louie and his wife, along with daughter Alyssa, relocated to Woodbine, Iowa. Louie worked part time for Carroll Shelby Enterprises (Goodyear Racing) as a tire specialist for 22 years. He later worked at the Harrison County Courthouse and for Heartland Co-op.
Louie loved racing and racing RC Cars. He loved golfing, fishing, shooting guns, camping, woodworking and all kinds of sports. What Louie loved most of all was being a “Papa” to his granddaughters.
Louie died on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 58 years, three months and nine days.
Louie is survived by his wife, Jerene Valles of Woodbine, Iowa; son, Brian Valles and his wife Nicole of Woodbine, Iowa; daughter, Alyssa Valles and her significant other Weston McDonald of Dunlap, Iowa; two granddaughters, Brooklyn and Evelyn Valles; parents, Sonny and Mary Valles of Texas; siblings, Sonny Valles and his wife Cindy of North Carolina, Vincent Valles and his wife Donna of Arizona, Alice and her husband Luis Paiz of California, Pauline and her husband Andrew Turner of Texas and Eric Valles of Texas; and many other relatives and close friends.
A Memorial Service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Fouts Funeral Home in Woodbine, Iowa.
