Ronnie Lee Beck was born on June 20, 1940, in Missouri Valley, Iowa to Raymond and Dorothy (Deakins) Beck. He grew up and attended school in Missouri Valley. Ronnie was married to Patsy Armstrong on April 22, 1967 at the Christian Church in Missouri Valley, and they were blessed with two children, Sheri and Gregg. Ronnie proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge, he worked at Wright and Wilhelmy Wholesale Warehouse in Omaha, Nebraska for 40 years, until his retirement in 2005.

Ronnie was a member of the Logan Christian Church. He was a devoted member of the church and always found a way to give of his time and talents. He helped clean the church with Court Oviatt for many years and participated in many Sunday School Classes and small groups. He helped in the children’s Sunday School Rooms, the nursery and every year at the Vacation Bible School. Ronnie also spearheaded the job of bringing in groups to give concerts at the church. In his younger years, Ronnie enjoyed fishing, especially with his family in Okoboji, hunting, bowling and square dancing. Later, Ronnie enjoyed gardening, yard work and walking the timber to gather fire wood. He also spent many hours listening to Southern Gospel Music and looked forward to going to see concerts in the area. Ronnie also loved eating sweets and homemade ice cream.

Ronnie died on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Azria Health Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 24 days.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl Beck and his wife Connie; and sister, Patricia Sisley. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patsy Beck of Logan; children, Sheri and her husband Henry Fox of Missouri Valley and Gregg Beck and Bobbi Yarborough of Mondamin, Iowa; grandchildren, Austin Fox of Missouri Valley and Ashley Fox and Derek Pauley of Earling, Iowa; brother-in-law, Don Sisley of Council Bluffs; and many other relatives and friends.
